After several months of working I injured myself on the job, putting me out of work for a month and a half while trying to get through red tape with L&I and human resources. This put me on the verge of being homeless. I needed a quick way to make money and I had very few options.

So, I started to pawn things or sell my valuables on ebay and craigslist, but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep me out of the whole. I was getting desperate and fast. I was looking at my last resorts being the military or crime.

Before I had to decide, I was browsing online for possible employment when I came across some of those “work at home” advertisements. Out of curiosity I took a look to see what I could find out. After reading a while I decided to try out some of the sites to see if I could make a few bucks. One paid me through paypal and another actually sent me a check in the mail.

This led me to a project…find out what are the best ways to make money online without having to spend any cash on those ebooks that basically will tell you everything that’s readily available for free…

I’ve come across many ways to make a few dollars and a couple ways to actually make a living online. My findings helped me to finally decide to Ditch the Dress Code!

All of this can be bought for the low payments of $99 $75….yeah, F-that. If you’re like me, you can’t afford to pay for some half-assed e-book giving you the “money making secret strategies” they all promise. I’m not here to sell you that and quite frankly I was tired of running into that kind of crap when I really needed help paying my bills.

Desperate people don’t have that kind of time.

So, what do I have to tell you? I’m here to show you the different methods and sites I use to make a real income.

Like many of you, the work I had been doing in retail forced me to “tone down” and get rid of my piercings and cover my tattoos. I’m not saying being a plain jane/average joe is a bad thing, but I don’t like how I’m forced to dress like every other person in the company in order to keep a crappy job that pays crappier.

I was a guy that was completely sick and tired of my crappy day job working in retail. Minimum wage and part time hours were definitely not cutting it for me. When I had an injury at work that put me out of a paycheck for 2 months I was seriously looking at losing my apartment.

That’s when I decided to find out other ways to make a living. I looked through all sorts of internet get rich quick schemes (all bullshit) and other useless crap. Then I came upon a few different methods that ended up working for me.

“You could’ve gotten another job…” hahahahahahahaha. Yeah, I hate to break it to you but there are plenty of people that have no other options…or atleast that’s what they believe now. I was the same until I actually looked for myself in places I’d never considered before.

I’m still writing this blog as we speak, so if there isn’t a link where there should be, just check back in a week and it’ll be up.

Anyway, here are my methods-

1. Read emails -image
Yes, you get paid to “read” emails (just open the damn thing and click confirm, or just leave the page open if there’s a time gauge on it…whatever). These can pay anywhere from .005 cents (not a typo) to like .20 cents. This is by far the easiest thing I’ve come across. It may be small, but there are several sites you can join. Some have earning limits that you have to reach in order to be paid, but that’s no big deal because these are easy.

2. Complete Paid Surveys/Sign Ups -image
This one is up and down for me. There’s plenty of sites that offer you money to complete surveys or quizzes. I’ve actually received payment from several of them. The offers sometimes don’t go through, but I’ll tell you how to increase the odds of getting paid. To tell you the truth, most of the money in this is from getting referrals, but you can still make a decent $20-50 a month just doing offers.

3. Affiliate Marketing -Link and image
You know all those “Learn how to get ripped quick!” muscle or weight loss ads? Those are affiliate marketing. The point of this option is to direct traffic to a company through your blog or whatever. You do have the potential to get $1,000 a week or more, but those are on more uncommon cases. Worth a try though for some.

4. Writing Articles/Poetry/Fiction -Link and image
This is for everyone with something to say. You can make $3+ for each article or .05-.10 cents per word for other submissions. This method can take a couple weeks to a month to get started, but can have a very decent payout.

5. Online Gaming -Link and image
You can actually earn points with a lot of sites to spend on gift cards or cash returns. There are also other stuff like poker sites that can give you some credits to start out with. Worth taking a look at if you’re the competitive type.

#. Trading Forex (Foreign Exchange Market) Online -Link and image
I haven’t tried this yet (it’s not free, but potentially very profitable). What you do here is basically buy foreign currencies

Step 1. Set up some new email accounts with a free email provider. Get this done early so you don’t end up using your real email and getting tons of spam sent to you daily.

Step 2. Sign up for some Survey sites.

Step 3. Log in and find the “Complete Offers” link.

Step 4. Start filling out any free offers you like. Avoid the cell phone offers because most of them will charge you a monthly fee after a week or so (read the fine print). There’s a certain way you’ll want to complete these offers which I’ll show you on another article. The process is a bit long to list (but really easy to remember).

Step 5. Once you reach the minimum cash goal, just cash out. You’ll either be sent a check in the mail (make sure you’ve used your real address) or into your PayPal account.
